Performance Mindset Coaching
Golf is played in two places: on the course and in your head. If you're looking to improve your golf, you need to work on your mental game as well as your technical game.
We all want to play better golf. Performance mindset coaching helps you overcome nerves and negative self talk. Learn to deal with the risks and enjoy the rewards when you're out on the course. No more feeling frustrated or wishing you could replay the last shot.
Through a series of one to one coaching sessions using golf psychology techniques you will change your approach to the game. I will give you strategies to take out on to the course from the first session.
Performance mindset coaching covers many aspects of the mental game including:
overcoming barriers to progress
review of goal setting and establishing a range of different goals
powerful use of imagery
managing negativity and your inner critic
learning relaxation and breathing techniques

How coaching works
Your coaching will begin with an assessment of your current goals and vision.
I will look at aspects of motivation and commitment, training and possibly use some performance profiling tools to see where we need to focus the coaching. I might come and play with you so we can chat through on course challenges and get a sense of priorities. We will discuss your training and how you structure your practice and get a thorough sense of where you are now.
From there we agree a plan and agree how we want to work together. This clearly depends on your time commitments, the goals you have and the way you prefer to work.
I coach in person or via Zoom or Skype, meaning you can access coaching wherever you are.
Do I need to be a professional?
No. Anyone who plays golf will benefit from improving their mental game. If you want to play better, then working on your mindset and fitness is as important as working on the range or putting hours in on your short game.
I coach clients all around the world, from beginners and amateurs in clubs, to pros and aspiring pros on a range of tours.
Practical exercises to take out on to the course
This is not an academic exercise. I am committed to giving you strategies to take out on to the course from the first session onwards. Each session will be accompanied by exercises to complete and we stay in contact between coaching sessions as you report back on your golf and success on the course.
How much does it cost?
A one to one coaching session is £150 and last 60-90 minutes. I ask clients to commit to 5 sessions * in order to make lasting change. Following that, clients can purchase one off sessions or, as many do, continue to see me every 4-6 weeks.
For those working on tour, sessions are generally on an ad hoc basis, as needed, or after tournaments or rounds.
